Several camps have been set up in the Sahara and are currently run by ex-nomads. On a trip with 4x4 into the desert we will sleep in one of the camps. Each camp has beautiful, traditional tents. The tents are made from adobe bricks and hand-dyed fabrics, often woven from goat or camel hair. In the winter season, these type of fabrics will keep the tents very warm. In summer you can choose to sleep in one of the tents, or outside under the open sky with a million stars above you.

It depends on availability which camp will be reserved for your desert trip. All the camps have private tents available.

If you choose for the walking trip with dromedaries, we bring our own big tents to sleep in. The type of tents we bring, are made from strong fabric and are nowadays still used by some nomads. There will be one big shared tent for sleeping and one tent used as kitchen. This way you can experience how Said and his family lived when they were nomads.
